Original Press Release:
Device Technologies Introduces Kitting and Factory Pre-Cut Lengths
Marlborough, MA, December 15, 2003 - Device Technologies, Inc. an IS09001:2000 certified company that designs and manufactures high performance specialty fastener solutions, is pleased to announce two new services for manufacturers, designed to maximize the use of materials and reduce the time and complexity of installing wire protection grommets in a production environment.
Custom Cutting
Device Technologies (DTi), a leading designer and manufacturer of wire protection grommets, is now offering at no extra charge, bulk packaging of factory pre-cut lengths, greatly reducing material waste, and saving time of manual cut off.
"If a customer tells us they need a specific cut length, DTi can digitally measure and cuts these lengths," said Hector Petri, Technical Director of DTi. "This ultimately saves our customers a great deal of time in the installation of wire protection grommets in the end product."
Custom Kits
DTi is also offering a kitting service to its customers. Kits can be used on the assembly line to reduce scrap and increase thru put, or kits may be shipped with the product for customer end use installation. All kit envelopes are printed to customer specifications.
"An assembler doesn't need to cut multiple length pieces now. DTi can now package different length pieces together so the assembler can just rip open an envelope and have all the necessary lengths at hand," said Petri. "We hope to not only provide our customers with a quality product, but make the installation of our products as efficient as possible."
