Innovative Wire Guard Helps Assure Continued Operation of Beam Smoke Detectors
April 24, 2007 - Safety Technology International, Inc. announces an excellent way to protect beam smoke detectors against both vandalism and accidental damage. The Beam Smoke Damage Stopper® (STI-9706 for flush mounted and STI-9707 for surface mounted applications) helps assure continued operation of detectors.
These protectors were created in response to multiple requests from STI customers. They consist of a tough, 9-gauge steel wire that is coated with corrosion resistant white polyester. The guards protect costly sensor units of beam type smoke detectors from damage leading to misalignment and false fire alarms. They are recommended for areas where abuse is severe or it is imperative smoke detectors continue to operate.
Installation is fast and simple with the screws and anchors provided. These guards are designed to fit over System Sensor 1224. STI guarantees the Stopper for a lifetime against breakage in normal use.
