Original Press Release:
Schleuniger, Inc. to Exhibit Wire Processing Solutions at The Assembly Show
Schleuniger, Inc., a leading international manufacturer of high-precision wire processing machines, will be exhibiting at The Assembly Show, an assembly focused trade show aimed at helping suppliers, buyers and users of assembly equipment in manufacturing plants connect, learn, share and explore all things assembly. This exclusive showcase will be held October 27-29, 2015 at the Donald E. Stevens Convention Center in Rosemont, IL. Schleuniger will be at booth #231 providing hands-on demonstrations of innovative solutions for stripping, cutting, crimping and marking all types of wire and cable.
For the first time at The Assembly Show, Schleuniger will show its newest cut and strip machine, the MultiStrip 9480. The new MultiStrip 9480 furthers Schleuniger’s position as the worldwide leader in rotary stripping solutions. The machine’s high resolution indexing cutter head and programmable rotary incision capability set the benchmark for high precision processing of coaxial and other shielded cables. The MultiStrip 9480 family offers six machine versions to meet your specific production needs. With many additional options and accessories, the MultiStrip 9480 can handle a nearly endless range of applications. Designed with efficiency in mind, the SmartBlade system and magnetically held guides increase output and maximize production by reducing changeover times.
Also new this year, Schleuniger will demonstrate the soon to be released ShieldCut 8100. The ShieldCut 8100 can safely and quickly cut and remove the braided shield layer from most shielded cables, eliminating countless hours of manual labor. As the only machine of its kind, the ShieldCut 8100 fills a current market need for efficient processing of shielded cables.
Schleuniger will also be showing the new sawing and inspection system for crimp cross section analysis, the SawInspect System 6. The SawInspect System 6 is a crimp quality assurance product that allows users to quickly create and analyze crimp cross sections by combining precision cutting, a high quality microscope and electrolyte staining into one complete system. With the new SawInspect System 6 all processing steps and motions have been minimized to increase efficiency and provide the fastest results.
In addition, Schleuniger will highlight the new CT 65 wire crimping machine. The CT 65 is a hydraulic press with 15 tons of crimping force. It features quick-release mechanisms for fast die changes as well as programmable die close and open positions to minimize stroke and processing times. Up to 30 jobs can be stored in memory for easy recall and programs can be secured with a key switch.
The UniCrimp 100, a benchtop crimping machine that delivers up to 2 tons of force, will also be highlighted. The machine’s safety guards can be completely opened to allow easy access to the working area along with fast changeover, adjustment and set up times. The UniCrimp 100 accepts most applicators on the market and provides quality crimping for wires up to 6mm2 (10 AWG).
Many additional products will be demonstrated including the CrimpCenter 36 S, EcoCut 3300, MegaStrip 9650, RotaryStrip 2400, StripCrimp 200 and UniCrimp 200 as well as equipment from the UniStrip line of wire stripping machines and CoaxStrip line of coaxial cable stripping machines.
