Wire Cleaner/Lubricator suits fine-wire applications.

Press Release Summary:

Wire Cleaner/Lubricator is designed for wire in diameter range of .006 to .050 in. Adjustable coating wheel lightly imparts lubricating film to wire. Reservoir holds up to 4 ounces of fluid and has clear cover for quick viewing of fluid level. Two free-spinning, V-cut guide wheels ease wire tracking within lubricator housing and apply lubricant as wire passes through. Cleaner/Lubricator mounts inline, prior to wire straightener, and measures 10 x 2 x 3 in.

New Wire Cleaner / Lubricator

TAK Enterprises introduces a Wire Cleaner / Lubricator that is designed for fine wire applications in the diameter range of
.006" to .050" The Lubricator incorporates an adjustable coating wheel that lightly imparts a lubricating "film" to the wire
and avoids the messy dripping or wiping techniques employed by other less sophisticated designs. By applying an even coat of lubricant most free particles are separated and fall to the bottom of the reservoir. Subsequent tools and machinery are protected from foreign particles while being lubricated for consistent manufacturing quality. The unit incorporates a covered reservoir that holds up to four ounces of fluid. The clear see thru cover allows for quick viewing of the fluid level
and utilizes a quick release snap latch when refilling the reservoir becomes necessary.

The Cleaner Lubricator is designed for inline mounting prior to a wire straightener and measures 10"x 2"x 3". The unit has
ceramic guides, or other materials depending on the application, for the ingress and egress of any wire within the diameter
range limits. It also includes two free spinning "V" cut guide wheels for ease of wire tracking within the Lubricator housing
that also apply the lubricant as the wire passes through. Finally, the design of the lubricator poses no limits on the selection of lubricant that can be used.

There are many wire straightening advantages when a lubricant is applied to the wire and should be employed when ever possible. Many manufactures cannot have any residual oils on their products due to down stream operations or other concerns and either has to use an evaporating lubricant or none at all. The TAK designed lubricator works well with evaporating lubricants due to the enclosed and covered reservoir design.

TAK Enterprises, headquartered in Bristol, CT, designs, manufactures, and markets precision wire straighteners, custom
feed and cut-off systems and a variety of time saving machine accessories for managing linear material. TAK was founded
in 1981 by Thomas Kunkler and Reinhart ( Butch ) Hermann and recently earned ISO 9002 certification in March 2000.
