Carboloy Expands Its High Feed Wiper Inserts Offerings

Warren, Mich., December 17, 2002 -- Carboloy Inc., has added new chipbreaker styles to its selection of negative and positive wiper inserts for high feed finishing applications. Wiper inserts combine the benefits of round and rhombic inserts, providing excellent surface finish at high feed rates and superior finish at normal feed rates. Seco-Carboloy wiper inserts can often eliminate the need for finish grinding.

Negative C- and D-style pin-type double-sided wiper inserts are now available in chipbreaker M3, for general high feed finishing purposes; or MF2, for highly accurate applications such as machining shafts that are prone to vibration or machining thin-walled components. Both new chipbreakers come in grades TP1000 or TP200 and Seco-Carboloy C-style wiper inserts are interchangeable with standard C- inserts.

A new positive W- and T-style insert is now offered in chipbreaker F1, intended for high feed finishing with low cutting forces and excellent chip control. The T- comes in grade TP1000 or TP200 and the W- in TP200. Seco-Carboloy W-style wiper inserts are interchangeable with standard W- inserts.

And, geometry WZ is available in a new PCBN-grade CBN300 for high feed finishing of pearlitic gray cast iron.
