ColorQA(TM) and ColorRT(TM) Window Tint & Reflectance Meter

The ColorQA(TM) is a lightweight, hand-held, battery operated device designed for easy portability. The device measures color in red, green and blue percentage format. To start comparing, simply apply the sensor tip to any colored surface the user wants to match, press the read button, and the LED's will illuminate and send the reading to the display. This color reading will remain on the first line of the LCD display as the Target Color. Any subsequent sample readings of any other color are compared to this Target Color for a match. The reading for the second color appears on the second line. The measurement of this color is compared to the measurement of the first color and the difference in the two measurements is shown on the third line. The percent difference is shown on the fourth line.

The new ColorRT(TM) uses technology of the ColorQA(TM), but with significant enhancements to allow measurements of transparent and non-transparent materials. The key function of the ColorRT(TM) is its spring loaded cartridge chambering system. As the need for color standards arise, users can store the cartridges or measured color materials with notations and for future color comparison in later production runs. There is also an optional module for measurement of powdered materials and plastic pellets used in the plastics industry. Specially designed cartridges are available to fit almost any industry application. The target or color desired is placed in one cartridge and the sample or production color material is placed in another for comparison.

The ColorRT(TM) includes: A calibration cartridge, which also holds virtually any material, such as paper, plastic, or fabric in place for color comparison. A transmissive cartridge is also included which will allow translucent materials to be held in place for color comparison.
