Wilden® to Launches Full Stroke PTFE Diaphragms at INTERPHEX 2011


Grand Terrace, CA - Wilden®, the worldwide leader in air-operated double-diaphragm pump technology, is pleased to announce it will be introducing its new Full Stroke PTFE (Teflon®) Diaphragms for use on all of its standard-setting AODD pump lines at INTERPHEX 2011 in Booth #3173. Wilden will also display its industry-leading HS family of pumps will be showcased The INTERPHEX show, which brings together a wide variety of leaders from the pharmaceutical industry, will be held from March 29-31, 2011, in New York, NY.

Wilden's Full Stroke PTFE provides considerable suction capability along with increased flow and suction performance. The full flow, PTFE diaphragm, designed to withstand common steam sterilization temperatures, fully complies with FDA material compatibility requirements and for uses requiring USP Class VI certification for critical biopharmaceutical applications.

Wilden will also be featuring its Hygienic Series (HS) pumps, which now offer high flow rates (230 gpm) and ultra-pure/cleanable design for biopharmaceutical processes. These pumps are specifically designed for applications that require negative suction lift or self-priming capability, compatibility and full containment with hazardous products. Also, the dead head capability of the HS pumps offers unique simplified solutions to filter or filler feeds that have limited inlet pressure tolerances. The HS pumps include the documentation and meet the highest standard for validation purposes. Materials of construction include fully traceable 316L stainless polished, electropolished, and passivated to 15μ-inch. Elastomers are varied but, include high grade PTFE that meet USP calls VI requirements. Included in the validation package are 3A and EHEDG cleanability certifications for CIP cleaning and SIP sterilization processes.
