Wilden T-Mag(TM) Mag-Drive Pumps Feature an Additional Cooling Feature for Increased Reliability

Grand Terrace, CA- July 10, 2009 - Wilden, the worldwide leader in air-operated double-diaphragm pump technology and an operating company within Dover Corporation's Pump Solutions Group (PSG(TM)), announced today that all eight models-from 1/12 HP to 5 HP-of its T-Mag(TM) Mag-Drive pumps come standard with an additional patented fluid path around the bushing.

This additional fluid path allows the process fluid, or air, to cool the bushing of the impeller from the outside, while still providing the internal spiral cooling channel that is offered on most magnetic-drive centrifugal pumps. This feature, which is unique to the T-Mag series, prevents the heat buildup that can damage or completely disable the shaft bushing.

In addition to the additional fluid path, other industry-leading features of the T-Mag are:

o Patented Dry-Run Design - A revolutionary bearing design contributes to rapid heat dissipation, which helps prevent damage, even under dry-run conditions.
o High-Performance Magnetic Coupling - The use of magnetic field analysis leads to the implementation of a torque margin that prevents decoupling.
o Patented Buffer System - The dynamic buffer is designed to absorb vibration and shock caused by adverse operating conditions. The buffer's self-adjusting properties also limit wear and prolong service life.
o High-Efficiency Flow Design - The geometry of the impeller and casing are generated through a hydraulic-design program, while the stream pattern is controlled through the use of Computerized Fluid Dynamics.
