Altai Technologies Introduces High Performance 802.11n A2 WiFi Access Point

The Most Cost-effective High Throughput 802.11n Integrated WiFi Access Point and PTP Bridge in the Market

HONG KONG -- Altai Technologies, a carrier-grade Super WiFi equipment supplier, today announced that it has upgraded its A2 WiFi Access Point to 802.11n standard. This upgraded version can be operated in different modes such as access point, bridge, repeater mode, or customer premises equipment (CPE).

The new A2 has optimized the advanced 802.11n technique to deliver a low cost carrier-grade, high throughput access point to service providers. Equipped with a built-in 5GHz backhaul radio, the A2 can be connected directly to an A8 Super WiFi base Station's 5GHz bridge radio to create a high capacity WiFi system.

Key features of Altai A2 WiFi Access Point include:
-- IP67-rated carrier grade 802.11 a/b/g/n access point for both outdoor and indoor applications
-- Multiple operating modes supported: AP, Repeater, Bridge or CPE
-- 2 x 2 MIMO for both 2.4 GHz (802.11b/g/n) and 5 GHz (802.11 a/n) radios
-- 2 x 2 MIMO 802.11 a/n wireless backhaul
-- PTP and PTMP bridging with built-in dual polarized panel antenna

The multifunctional, light-weight and compact design of the A2 makes it perfect for different indoor and outdoor applications. "We are always striving to enhance our products' standards so as to cope with the rapid changing market requirements," said Chi-hung Lin, President & CEO of Altai Technologies. "Based on 802.11n standard, we have further extended the signal coverage of A2 to 450 m in the line-of-sight environment and 250 m in the non- line-of-sight environment, providing the most cost-effective, high capacity, long range wireless solution in the market. It is also the most cost effective solution for 3G data offload and other wireless internet applications."

The Altai A2 WiFi Access Point is designed to be used in Altai Super WiFi systems to increase system capacity, extend coverage, fill-in areas of low or blocked signals caused by obstructions and bridge wirelessly to remote sites.
