Siemens Introduces New Low Cost High-Resolution 19-Inch Industrial Monitor

ATLANTA - Siemens Industry, Inc. has added the Simatic® SCD1900 widescreen industrial monitor, competitively priced at $1,265 USD list price, to its line of LCD human machine interfaces (HMI).

The new 19-inch monitor eliminates common compatibility problems with PC video drives that have a 16:10 widescreen resolution format at a maximum of 1440 x 900 pixels with automatic VESA standard scaling. Its widescreen display design enables operators to quickly see a large amount of information on production line or batch process applications. Additionally, the higher resolution can simplify the graphical screen design and pack more information into a smaller space threreby reducing the need for operators to page through screens.

The SCD1900 is fully ruggedized, with an IP65 protection rating, making it suitable for deployment directly on machines in a wide variety of environments.

The SCD1900 is available with or without a touch screen interface and is equipped with both VGA and DVI interfaces. The display includes a 24 V DC power supply and an optional 10-230 V AC power supply.
