Wideband Distributed Amplifier offers 14 dB gain, high linearity.

Press Release Summary:

From 2–20 GHz, CMD238 BroadRange Distributed Amplifier™ delivers 14 dB of gain with output P1dB of +26 dBm, output IP3 of +34 dBm, and 2nd harmonic level of -33 dBc. This GaAs MMIC (monolithic microwave integrated circuit) distributed amplifier, which operates from 5–8 V power supply, is pin-compatible with CMM0014 amplifier and features 50Ã‚Â Ω matched design that eliminates need for external DC blocks and RF port matching.

Original Press Release:

2-20 GHz BroadRange Distributed Amplifier(TM) Offers 14 dB of Gain with a High Linearity in a Small Die Size

Chelmsford, MA – Custom MMIC, a leading developer of performance driven monolithic microwave integrated circuits (MMICs), has the added CMD238 2-20 GHz amplifier to its market leading BroadRange Distributed Amplifier™ portfolio.

The CMD238 is a wideband GaAs MMIC distributed amplifier ideally designed for wideband applications requiring high linearity in a small die size. From 2 to 20 GHz, this amplifier delivers 14dB of gain with an output P1dB of +26 dBm, an output IP3 of +34 dBm, and a 2nd harmonic level of -33 dBc. It operates from a 5 to 8 V power supply. The CMD238 is a pin-compatible replacement for the obsolete CMM0014 amplifier.

The amplifier is a 50 ohm matched design, which eliminates the need for external DC blocks and RF port matching. Applications for this device include military, space and communications systems.
