Wide Selection of Genie IWP Super Series Models Now Available in Canada

REDMOND, WASH. (April 28, 2009) - Terex Aerial Work Platforms (AWP), a business segment of the Terex Corporation (NYSE:TEX), announces expanded availability of the Genie® IWP(TM) Super Series lifts. Customers in Canada are now able to purchase the IWP(TM)-30S, as well as the standard base IWP(TM)-20S and IWP(TM)-25S models, providing rental companies and end users even more choices of these popular lifts.

Canadian customers will experience multiple accessibility benefits from this expanded availability. "The Genie® IWP(TM) has always been popular in Canada, but now, with the IWP(TM)-30S, we're able to help customers reach projects at greater heights," said Kim Williams, Terex AWP Senior Market Analyst. "Plus, the standard base IWP(TM)-20S and IWP(TM)-25S roll through single standard doorways and can be operated on more sensitive surfaces, providing users access to more sites. They are cost-effective, smart solutions."

The IWP(TM)-30S delivers a working height of up to 35 ft 6 in (11 m) and a lift capacity of 350 lbs (159 kg) for operators to easily access overhead maintenance jobs. All units feature built-in automatic level sensing, and two front integral leveling jacks provide an additional 2 in (5 cm) of adjustability.

The standard-base IWP(TM)-20S and IWP(TM)-25S are up to 590 lbs (268 kg) lighter than the wide base models previously mandated by CSA standards, allowing them to access more sensitive floor surfaces. The 2 ft 8 in (.81 m) width base allows operators greater accessibility to job locations as it is narrow enough to fit through standard single doorways. Buyers of the IWP(TM)-20S and IWP(TM)-25S will also see a significant cost savings over the wide base models previously mandated by CSA standards.

All Genie® IWP(TM) Super Series lifts can be set up quickly, to help operators get right to work. Each unit includes a low battery indicator, locking key switch, dual activated up/down switch, level sensor and footpad interlocks. Optional power wheel assist on DC models activates hydraulic forward and reverse drive for even quicker, easier maneuverability.

All Genie® IWP(TM) models are backed by Genie 360°(TM), a complete collection of value-enhancing services, ranging from technical support to training.
