IRVINE, CA - February, 2002--With an advanced lens design enabling uniform brightness over a 180-degree spatial distribution, the new PY1103CK Super Wide Angle SMT LED from Stanley Electric consumes approximately fifty percent less power than conventional LEDs.

With GaP die material, the PY1103CK Super Wide Angle LED is available in yellow-green with a clear lens. Luminous intensity is 8.0 mcd, with an IF of 10 mA. Forward voltage is typically 2.1V with an IF of 10 mA, and the reverse current IR is 100 uA maximum with a VR of 4V. The PY1103CK operates at -40 to +85 degrees C.

The PY1103CK is specifically designed for backlighting cellular phone keypads and other types of switches. Its uniform 180-degree spatial distribution makes key pads easy to read and use.
