Type 1 Unitized Wheels Clean, Deburr, And Surface Finish
A new line of Type 1 unitized wheels and convolute wheels for cleaning, deburring, and finishing a wide variety of precision machined parts is being introduced by Rex-Cut Products, Inc. of Fall River, Massachusetts.
Rex-Cut Megabrite(TM) Type 1 Unitized Wheels are constructed from non-woven synthetic fiber material which is compressed, bonded, and features either aluminum oxide or silicon carbide abrasives. Providing controlled grinding action, they come in several grit sizes and densities to deburr, grind, and finish various metals, including titanium, without changing part geometry.
Ideally suited for final finishing, Rex-Cut Megabrite(TM) Type 1 Unitized Wheels are resilient, smear-resistant, and non-metallic to prevent work piece contamination. Wheels up to 4" dia. in 3/16", 1/8", and 1/4" thicknesses are offered. Convolute wheels, incorporating non-woven construction impregnated with abrasive grains and resin, wound around a core and bonded are offered in four sizes: 6" x 1/2", 6" x 1", 8" x 1/2", and 8" x 1" dia.
