Wheel Sensor measures force and torque on large trucks.

Press Release Summary:

Using System 2000, Roadyn V6HT transmits 6 components of data by digital wireless transmission. Near field telemetry replaces mechanical transfer system and is free of noise fields and temperature effects. Data signals are passed on to modular onboard electronics representing force and torque in x, y, and z planes. With data preconditioned at sensors and digital or analog data outputted to data acquisition, system is suited for test track or lab setting.

Original Press Release:

New Wheel Sensor for Large Trucks

Amherst, NY (March 16, 2006) - A new wheel sensor for R & D studies of force and torque sized to medium to large trucks and off highway vehicles is announced by Kistler Instrument. The Roadyn V6HT uses the firm's System 2000 to transmit 6 components of data by digital wireless transmission. This state-of -the-art near field telemetry replaces a mechanical transfer system and is free of noise fields and temperature effects. The data signals then are passed on to modular onboard electronics representing force and torque. in the x, y and z planes. A universal test stand wheel adapter is also new. Ease of installation is improved with a simpler wiring configuration and fewer connection points. Automatic sensor detection and calibration data upload assure user convenience. With the data preconditioned at the sensors and digital or analog data outputted to data acquisition, data acquisition in either a test track or lab setting is assured. Kistler is a worldwide supplier of precision instrumentation for the measurement of pressure, force and acceleration serving the R&D, Industrial and OEM Communities.
