New Features Give Dressta Wheel Loader Operators Easier Control

In addition to the modern styling evident on the 103 hp 510E, the 120 hp 515E, and the 142 hp 520E wheel loaders, Dressta has made several important improvements to enhance performance, including a restyled tilt-open engine enclosure for improved engine access.

Included on all three models is a Single Lever Equipment Control Joystick. Designed to give the operator fingertip control of the bucket and boom, this ergonomically designed control lever uses oil pressure to activate the main valve spools to make bucket and boom movement smooth and easy. A single button on the joystick controls the transmission downshift function. This feature is disengaged when shifting into reverse.

Another improvement is the Electric-Controlled Transmission. A single lever mounted on the left side of the steering column replaces the two levers used on earlier Dressta wheel loader
models. By simply moving the electrically powered lever forward or backward from neutral, the operator can easily shift the transmission into forward or reverse. To change the transmission range to 1,2, or 3, the operator merely rotates the lever.

Hydrostatic Steering is also a new feature on these wheel loaders. Hydrostatic steering provides smoother, more responsive steering to lessen operator fatigue.

For improved operator comfort, the entire cab interior is lined with sound suppression material to reduce the sound level. The control panel includes space for a radio, and the cab ceiling has provisions for dual speakers.

An optional 'Ride Control' System is available which improves cycle times and provides increased comfort, driving smoothness, and lessens the amount of bucket material spillage. This ride control system features hydraulic valves and accumulators, which absorb the shocks caused by travel surface irregularities.
