Logansport, IN - On display for the first time at IMTS 2004 (September 8th - 15th, Chicago's McCormick Place). Logansport Matsumoto Company (LMC) has recently added a WDF Deflash/Degate Wheel Chuck to their comprehensive line of Quick Change Wheel Chucks.
For pre-machining operations, the WDF series is designed to remove the flash and gating out of cast aluminum wheels when ran on an automated wheel lathe. The WDF Series helps to improve part material handling requirements and leads to increased tooling life. Overall part quality is improved due to increased consistency of heat treat operations and by eliminating flashing that can cause problems in painted wheels.
Chucking diameters ranging from 15" to 24" wheel diameters-and various wheel sizes can be handled by a single chuck.
