Wet/Wet DP Sensors measure SS-compatible gases and liquids.

Press Release Summary:

Designed for use in applications with corrosive liquids and gases, Model 5000 differential pressure (DP) sensors feature design free of internal O-rings or fill fluids that provides seal against invading hazardous media. Design also resists vibration, shock, and temperature extremes. Designed to cover line pressures from 0-100 to 0-1,000 psi, measurements are taken with accuracy of greater than + 0.3% BFSL @ 77ºF.

Wet/Wet Differential Pressure Sensors Offer Accurate Measurement of Gases and Liquids Compatible with Stainless Steel

Landing, NJ, November 1, 2004... American Sensor Technologies, Inc ('AST') introduces a new line of Wet/Wet Differential Pressure Sensors designed for use in water management, gas pipeline instrumentation, filtration, natural gas compressors and other application where corrosive liquids and gases are present. (Pressure transmitters translate the low level output of a transducer to a higher-level signal suitable for transmission to a site where it can be further processed.) Units are specially designed for applications with demanding price and performance requirements.

Engineered to withstand the permeation of gases and liquids, the Model 5000 Wet/Wet Differential Pressure Sensors feature a unique design free of internal O-rings or fill fluids that provides a seal against invading hazardous media. Should either pressure port be at full line pressure and the other at zero, no damage will be done to the transmitter.

Other significant features of the Model 5000 Wet/Wet Differential Pressure Sensors includes:

· Both voltage and current outputs are available over a wide operating temperature range of -40º to 85ºC (-40º to 185º F).

· Measurements are available in differential pressures covering line pressures from 0-100 to 1,000 psi

· On-board analog compensation ensures fast response times

· Compact design makes it ideal for a wide range of applications such as refrigeration, water management, power generation, filtration, pipeline gas instrumentation, and data loggers.

The Model 5000 Pressure Sensors are constructed from stainless steel, which provides long life and resistance to media corrosion as well as superb over range and burst protection. Units offer accuracy of < + 0.3% BFSL at 25ºC (77º F) and sustain performance over more than 10 million pressure cycles. Exhibiting excellent resistance to high vibration, shock and temperature extremes, units are able to perform in a variety of demanding environments.

Pricing for the AST Series of pressure sensors begins at $425.00 with volume discounts available. For additional information, please visit American Sensor Technologies website at www.astsensors.com or email at info@astsensors.com

About AST

AST manufacture state-of-the-art, MEMS-based pressure sensors, transducers, and transmitters that offer the best price-performance ratio in the industry. Common applications of AST sensor products are in industrial OEM, hydraulic systems, fuel cells, medical gases, HVAC/R, refrigeration (ammonia, Freon, CO2), oil & gas exploration and production, and off-road vehicles. By combining exotic metals and AST's exclusive, proprietary Krystal Bond(TM) Technology (an advanced process in which inorganic materials are molecularly diffused onto a metallic surface in the presence of certain gases), AST can produce high-performance strain gauge pressure sensors that support the specialized needs of key niche markets. Many AST products are UL listed as intrinsically safe and certified for explosion-proof required environments. Some of the world's most highly respected industrial Fortune 500 corporations have tested and now use AST products in a wide range of critical and harsh environments.
