Wet Scrubbers eliminate odors from industrial sources.

Press Release Summary:

Multi-use Odor Scrubbers produce Zero Odor at stack. They accommodate gas inlet temperature up to 2000°F, and can be engineered to accommodate particulate in addition to gases. Velocities range between 150-500 fpm. Mist eliminator can be specified to 99% at 2 microns for applications that require very low output numbers. Systems are pre-piped and include PLC controls. They are made of UV-stabilized polypropylene; PVC and stainless steel is available.

Scrubber Produces Zero Odor at the Stack

February 3, 2003. Owosso, MI. Tri-Mer Corporation has introduced a multi-use, high-efficiency wet scrubber technology for the elimination of odors from a wide variety of industrial sources. Units are available in vertical and horizontal designs.

The Tri-Mer Odor Scrubber produces a condition of ZERO ODOR at the stack, and is applicable to odors generated from oil refining, food processing, asphalt manufacturing, metal casting,
waste handling, and semiconductor manufacturing. The system is also effective for scrubbing a broad spectrum of odors from some of the most difficult sources in the chemical industry, including the production of styrene.

Systems accommodate gas inlet temperatures up to 2000 degrees F. Also notable: systems can be engineered to accommodate particulate (including submicron particulate) in addition to gases. Scrubber velocities range between 150 and 500 ft./minute, so residence time in the scrubber is short - between 1/2 second and several seconds.

The mist eliminator that is central to each system's design can be spec'd to 99% at 2 microns for applications (including semiconductor manufacturing and some chemical processing
applications) that require very low output numbers.

Tri-Mer Odor Scrubbers are manufactured for most applications in UV-stabilized polypropylene; PVC and stainless steel construction is available. Systems are supplied pre-piped (double-containment where local codes require), and include PLC controls.

There are three equipment formats: internal tank with ANSI pumps, internal tank, with vertical pumps and a design which has an external recirculation system and dry sump. The external
recirculation model is manufactured in single-stage and multi-stage formats to suit the facility. Tri-Mer Corporation, Owosso, MI (989) 723-7838 www.tri-mer.com
