New Wet Blasting Machine From Toshiba Boasts Superior Finishing Capability
The latest blasting technology specifically for automotive and semiconductor parts manufacturers comes in the form of Fuji Seiki's Wet Blasting Machine. Available from Toshiba Machine Co., America , the Wet Blasting Machine operates like an abrasive blasting machine, but with the added benefit of water. This combination of water and media prevents heat generation, decreases non-productive time and provides a significantly smoother finish. Furthermore, designed as a closed system, Fuji Seiki's Wet Blasting Machine recirculates water for environmentally friendly operation.
Already available in Japan, Fuji Seiki's machine is the product of choice for nearly every leading manufacturer of automobile parth there. For the automotive industry, the Wet Blasting Machine is ideal for deburring. matte finishing, scale removal. peening, surface treatment, edge-breaking and cleaning. Applicable workpieces include engine parts, turbo fans, clutch parts, fuel injection nozzles, ABS parts and much more - even intricate workpieces.
Two standard versions of the automatic Wet Blasting Machine are available. Standard sizes range from 48" x 78" x 86" (H) to 80" x 100" x 96" (H). Maximum workpiece size is 8.0" diameter, 12" high; weight 22 lbs. Injection guns may be added to further reduce cycle times. Machines can be exclusively designed to meet customer-specific requirements. Manual machines of varying sizes are also available.
