New HMI Touch Screen Interface Help Operators Spend Less Time Using Equipment Controls and More Time Looking for Defects
GLENVIEW, Illinois – Level IIIs will agree the most important part of a magnetic particle test is the time an operator spends examining the test piece for discontinuity indications. Unfortunately there are many other steps in the MT/MPI process which demand time and take an operator’s focus away from examination. The purpose of the new HMI Touch Screen Interface on Magnaflux A- and D-Series Wet Bench Units is to reduce the time an operator spends at the equipment controls so they can spend more time looking for indications.
When Magnaflux set out to improve their core wet bench units the goal was to provide added value to their customers without increasing the overall equipment price. After reviewing feedback from customers, service centers, and distributors, it was obvious the best way to add value without adding cost was to help the customer improve productivity.
