Westport Precision, LLC Is Pleased to Announce the Purchase of Two Pieces of State of the Art Capital Equipment
AMADA FOL-AJ This is a 4,000 watt fiber (solid state) laser that will replace our current laser, The new laser has additional capabilities including being able to cut galvanized, galvaneal, and reflective materials like copper and brass. With its more efficient cooling system and reduced power requirements there is a marked improvement in its environmental impact. Also, there is significantly increased accuracy due to its 3 axis linear drive system. With this machine we can process Steel and Stainless up to 3/8" thick and Aluminum up to 1/4". Westport Precision is the first fabricator in New England to own this model laser with the capabilities it has.
AMADA HD 1003 ATC - This is the newest advancement in Press Brake technology, a press brake that is manually operated but sets its own tooling. lt is a 110 ton 10' bed machine thereby increasing our ability to work with thicker materials and larger parts. lt uses a servo-hydraulic drive that has faster than normal approach speeds and unequalled ram positioning and repeatability of +/- .00004". This machine is ideal for complex multiple bend setups in low to medium lot sizes. We are proud to be one of the first fabricators in the country to be receiving this machine.
