Well Level Monitor provides continuous operation.

Press Release Summary:

Based upon bubbler technology, Model WLM-100 can measure water column in excess of 300 ft. with full scale accuracy of ±0.5%. Presence of chemicals, pH, and hardness of water have no effect upon unit. Using air-tube, monitor provides 4-20 mA signal that can be sent to SCADA system or logged as onboard data. Unit operates from standard 120 Vac, 15 A circuit and can provide graphical view of both static and pumping water levels, as well as trending for reports.

Continuous Well Level Monitoring Product Introduction

To really know how your wells are doing in relation to aquifer levels, drawdown, and recharge rates, you need to continuously monitor exactly what's happening, twenty-four hours per day, seven days per week. Now you can automate the process, and even automatically shut one or more wells down to prevent breaking suction and damaging your pump.

Water Districts have tried different products to monitor well levels with varying degrees of success. Over the long run, most have been poor performers. If wells are deep, you pay substantial fees for cabling and installation, and when used with submersible wells, 220V-480V power cabling can cause problems for both drop-in and capacitance type probes, due to electrical interference.

Drop-in units, with the electronics placed several hundred feet down a well, are often difficult installations due to blockage in the column or bent well casings. Besides being costly, drop-in units usually have a vent tube running to atmosphere, where moisture often enters, causing inaccurate readings and even damaging the electronics.
Bellows and desiccant tubes work, to some degree, but require maintenance and have never been completely satisfactory.

Capacitance units also have the problem of inserting a weighted cable down the column, but even worse, when there's a large air gap between the surface and the water level, RF signals become unstable causing inaccurate readings. The build-up of algae and dirt often renders these units unreliable.

ATSI has developed a packaged product based upon bubbler technology. While most bubbler systems are used for relatively short distances such as sewage wet wells (20 ft. to 40 ft.), we've developed a product that will work with a water column in excess of 300 feet. Note, the distance between the surface and the water level is
unimportant.

The WLM-100 provides outstanding results, even where a pump is set at 700 feet and where the static water level may be up to 400 feet, leaving a water column of approximately 300 feet. Optimum levels dictate a water column of around 350 feet or less. However, we can achieve much greater levels (water columns), if necessary. The
presence of chemicals, the pH and hardness of the water have no affect upon the WLM-100.

Accuracy is superb with the WLM-100 providing very reliably tracking of static, and pumping levels, 24-hours per day, seven days per week, with excellent repeatability.
As far as installation, an air tube and AC power are about the only requirements.
We'll handle the connections and complete the installation and set-up.

WLM-100 Continuous Well Level Monitor

Using a simple air-tube, already installed in many potable water production wells, and ATSI's unique sampling technology, the WLM-100 provides a highly accurate 4-20 mA signal that can either be sent to your SCADA system or logged as on-board data. The WLM-100 provides continuous monitoring and can provide a graphical view of both static and pumping water levels, as well as trending for reports.
