Three in One: the Rugged Air Vantage® 500 from Lincoln Offers a Welder, Generator and Air Compressor all in One Unit

· Direct gear-driven air compressor eliminates the maintenance of competitive systems.

· 20,000 watts 3-Phase and 12,000 watts 1-Phase auxiliary power are standard while competitive units offer only as an option.

· Lincoln Chopper Technology(TM) delivers easy arc starting, smooth arc action, low spatter levels and excellent bead appearance.

· Stainless steel panels ensure durability and corrosion resistance.

· Optional vandal-resistant lockout systems provides extra protection.

Cleveland, Ohio- For railroad and mine maintenance, heavy duty construction and rental fleet use, the new Air Vantage® 500 from The Lincoln Electric Company provides a welder, generator and air compressor all in one unit.

What makes the Air Vantage stand out from competitive units is a patent-pending direct gear-driven compressor with no belts or clutches to wear out. This compressor, rated at 60 CFM, 100 PSI at 100 percent duty cycle, pumps out enough air for arc gouging, plasma cutting or almost any air tool, such as an impact gun.

In addition, the unit comes standard with up to 20,000 watts of 3-phase 240V AC generator power - many competitive units only have this much power as an option which adds to the cost of the welder. To power construction hand tools, the Air Vantage 500 provides 12,000 watts continuous 1-phase AC generator power.

Another advantage is the unit's stainless steel roof, side panels and engine-access door which provide added durability and corrosion resistance, eliminating the need to replace these items due to paint damage or rust. A sliding engine access door makes it easy for servicing in tight spaces and optional vandal-resistant lockout systems restrict access to the engine, battery, fuel and control panel.

Along with all these extras, the Air Vantage delivers high output welding capability with 500 amps at 100 percent duty cycle for stick, TIG, MIG and flux-cored welding. Precision arc starting, courtesy of Lincoln's Chopper Technology, and additionally Touch-Start(TM) TIG when TIG welding, will make any operator a better welder.

The unit is easy to use - operators select one of four process modes, including CC-Stick, Downhill Pipe (for stick), Touch-Start TIG or CV-Wire, and then dial in the desired output.

The reliable Cummins® B3.3 water-cooled diesel engine can operate in extreme temperature conditions and features a large, 25-gallon fuel tank, gauges for engine temperature and oil pressure and an automatic engine idler for long life.

The Air Vantage 500 is covered by Lincoln's three-year warranty (engine and compressor are warranted separately by the manufacturers.)

The Lincoln Electric Company, Cleveland, Ohio, is a world leader in the design and manufacture of arc welding equipment and consumables, robotic welding systems, plasma and oxyfuel cutting equipment.
