Cleveland, Ohio - Lincoln's new CV-305 industrial power source and LF-72 wire feeder have been grouped into a convenient Ready-Pak package, making it easy to set up a complete and correctly configured welding system for superior performance on steel, stainless or aluminum in no time.
The CV-305 / LF-72 package delivers the power and performance general fabrication and high volume production welding shops require for working with common .035" and .045" electrode diameter MIG and flux-cored wire arc welding processes. Typical industries include transportation, such as light vehicles, automotive parts, trailers, as well as agricultural equipment and light construction fabrication, such as pre-fabricated buildings and other manufacturing.
The efficient new CV-305 features reduced input current draw, requiring only 48 amps at 230 volts and a low 24 amps at 460 volts. The machine is rated at 315 amps, 32.6 volts at 100 duty cycle, with a full amperage range of 50 to 400 amps. The simple controls, standard digital meters, rugged reliability and compact footprint make this new power source the perfect mate for MIG and flux-cored applications with the LF-72 industrial wire feeder.
The new LF-72 feeder included in the package features Lincoln's patented rugged 2-roll Universal Wire Drive System for extremely dependable, accurate wire feeding. This patented, best-in-class wire drive system includes:

o A unique ball bearing wire input guide reduces wire damage

This semiautomatic wire feeder can accommodate .023" -1/16" MIG wire diameters and .035" - 5/64" flux-cored wire diameters at wire feed speeds of 50-800 inches per minute.
Standard features offered at no additional cost to the purchaser are a Lincoln 400 amp Magnum(TM) gun, a 10 foot control cable with new Speed Nut(TM) easy handling connector, and .035" / .045"drive rolls. For easy servicing, Magnum guns feature industry-standard replacement parts.
Other features found on the wire feeder include a 2-step trigger interlock designed to reduce operator fatigue on long welds. The calibrated Wire Feed Speed knob maintains a steady wire feed speed under changing loads. A convenient top-mounted storage tray allows for storage of contact tips and drive rolls.
