Welding Machine works with plate bending machine.

Press Release Summary:

Shells made by Rollexpress plate bending machine move under fixed welding torch of Seamstar continuous longitudinal welding machine. Welding does not stop between 2 consecutive shells, so there is no downtime and productivity is maximized. Same operator can feed both machines. Applications include catalytic converters, extinguishers, electric motor casings, compressor casings, compressed air tanks, and chimney pipes.

Jammes Industrie Offers a Duo to Guarantee Better Productivity: The Automatic Plate Bending Machine Rollexpress with the New Continuous Longitudinal Welding Machine Seamstar

Chicago, June 18, 2003

In order to offer manufacturers of rolled and welded shells better productivity, the French company JAMMES INDUSTRIE, a specialist in automatic rolling and welding machines, has created the continuous longitudinal welding machine Seamstar. This new welding machine provides high accuracy in the quality of finished products.

Shells to be welded move under the Seamstar's fixed welding torch. Welding does not stop between two consecutive shells and, as a result, there is no downtime and productivity is maximized. Shells are introduced one by one on the left side of the machine and exit welded continuously on the right side.

With the innovative Seamstar added to the company's Rollexpress plate bending machine, JAMMES INDUSTRIE has found an ideal dual solution to answer the needs of all manufacturers more efficiently regardless of their level of production. Thus a plate bending machine and a welding machine can be purchased at a lesser cost.

The same operator can feed both machines. First the plate is rolled in five seconds on the Rollexpress. After rolling, the operator inserts the shell into the Seamstar, also in five seconds. In the Seamstar, the shells, inserted one by one by the operator, form a continuous line moving at the weld speed under the torch. In this way, the Seamstar never stops; welding is continuous and, as a result, productivity is maximal.

The goal of JAMMES INDUSTRIE is to cater to the needs of each customer. The company's engineers can advise customers according to their product and choose the welding process (MIG, TIG, PLASMA, SUBARC) best suited to their production.

The Rollexpress plate bending machine is proven in terms of parts made in record time, diameter changeover within fifteen seconds without tooling, time savings, and work comfort. In addition, this machine is easy to use and can be operated by non-qualified personnel. No prior training is required.

Applications are varied and include catalytic converters, extinguishers, electric motor casings, compressor casings, compressed air tanks, chimney pipes.

JAMMES INDUSTRIE will be present at FABTECH International, to be held at McCormick Place in Chicago, November 16-19, 2003, and at the MACHINE OUTIL tradeshow to be held in Paris, France, March 22-26, 2004.
