Lincoln Electric Expands Weld Fume Control Product Line with Mobiflex® and Statiflex® High Efficiency Systems

New high efficiency systems are targeted for welding stainless steel, high alloy metals or requiring extraction of extremely fine particulate

Cleveland - With the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) Hexavalent Chromium requirement for the implementation of engineering controls taking effect on May 31, 2010, the control of welding fume is a timely and important issue for many manufacturers. Lincoln Electric offers a complete line of portable, fixed and engineered solutions for weld fume control, including new mobile and wall - mount models with new replaceable filters.

The Mobiflex® 200-M and 400-MS are mobile, low-vacuum systems for welding fume extraction and filtration. Their compact size and mobility make them ideal for small - to medium - sized manufacturing facilities.

Each model features:

o Casters and rear wheels for mobility

o Low noise operation

o Internal spark arresters

o A variety of extraction arm options

o The 400-MS model features a self-cleaning option

The Statiflex® 200-M and 400-MS are wall-mounted, low-vacuum filtration and extraction systems. Ideal for facilities where real estate is at a premium, the units can be mounted in the work cell environment, freeing up floor space for the operator and other equipment. Suited for heavy-duty extraction and filtration of welding fumes, the Statiflex units are intended for applications in welding schools and industrial welding environments.

Each model features:

o Wall-mounting capability to maximize floor space

o Internal spark arresters

o A variety of extraction arm options

o The 400-MS model features a self-cleaning option

All models are compatible with new high-efficiency, disposable filters constructed from cellulose and polyester fibers. The new filters have a filter class of MERV 16 (a Minimum Efficiency Reporting Value per ASHRAE 52.2).
