Weldcraft to Attend Weld Expo Canada 2008 in Toronto

APPLETON, Wis. June 18, 2008-Weldcraft will showcase its TIG welding torches and accessories at the Weld Expo Canada in Mississauga, Ontario, September 23 to 25 in Booth #2600. Products to be displayed include the company's new LS17 TIG torch, its premium line of tungsten and the Triad(TM) tungsten grinder. Weldcraft personnel will also be available to provide product or welding solution recommendations to booth visitors.

Weldcraft's LS17 air-cooled TIG torch, its newest addition to its Legacy(TM) Series of TIG torches, features a styled soft-grip handle to improve overall manueverability, along with an easily interchangeable fingertip switch that provides remote amperage control and can be replaced without any tools. Adding to the LS17's unique design is a durable and flexible knuckle joint at the base of the torch handle. The knuckle joint permits greater torch control and easier movement, while also minimizing stress on the power cables and the backend of the torch body. The LS17 is rated at 150 amps DC and 125 amps AC, both at 60% duty cycle.

Weldcraft's premium tungsten electrodes are available in industry standard lengths of seven inches and ship in packages of ten that are color-coded according to type. There are five types available: pure, 2% ceriated, 1.5% lanthanated, 2% thoriated, and rare earth. To ensure quality and safety, these tungsten electrodes meet strict AWS (American Welding Society) specifications and feature important safety information for usage on the labels.

The Triad tungsten grinder provides welding the accuracy and versatility needed to prepare tungsten for both orbital and hand-held TIG applications. It features a robust industrial motor, precision-drilled entries that accommodate six different tungsten electrode diameters and four different grinding angles to ensure reliable arc starting and good weld penetration. Each Triad ships in a sturdy carrying case, and includes a dual-sided diamond-coated grinding wheel, an electrode holder, and a machine holder for bench top mounting.
