WEG Expands ESW Enclosed Combination Starter Series
ATLANTA, G.A. July 2, 2009 - WEG Electric Corp. (www.weg.net), a leading global supplier of motors, drives, controls, transformers and generators, introduces the expanded line of enclosed full voltage, non-reversing ESW Combination Starters.
A compact solution, the new ESW series was developed to start and protect motors, ensuring smooth operation year after year. Added to the ESW line is IEC and UL approved Type A (ESWA), Type C (ESWC) and Type E/F (ESWE) full voltage, non-reversing starters. Additionally, the ESWA series features a new Pump Controller with horsepower range from 3Hp to 250Hp at 460V. The ESW family features include 22mm standard Pilot Devices (30mm upon request) and factory assembled accessories (CPT, timers and protection relays, terminal blocks, etc.). In addition, custom panels to house these starters are also available.
Type Series Highlights:
o ESWA - Fusible Disconnect (Class RK5/J); 3Hp - 250Hp at 460V
o ESWA (P) - Pump Controller; 3Hp - 250Hp at 460V
o ESWC - Molded Case Circuit Breaker Disconnect; 3Hp - 250Hp at 460
o ESWE - Manual Motor Protector Disconnect, with NEMA 4X fiberglass enclosure; .25Hp -
75Hp at 460V
o ESWF - Manual Motor Protector Disconnect; .25Hp - 75Hp at 460V
Applications for the ESW Combination Starter include: pumps, materials handling equipment, blowers, cranes, machining tools, agitators, pressing machines and more. The new ESW series has been added to the new automation catalog and is available for order.
