Southbridge, MA – Designed for high performance and long life under challenging conditions, Wedge Lock Pelletizer Rotors and Knives from PDK Design Grinding, a division of Hyde Industrial Blade Solutions (IBS), consistently produce high-quality plastic pellets for compounders of a variety of engineered and filled materials.
PDK Wedge Lock Pelletizer Rotors and Knives provide application-driven processing solutions for most strand pelletizers including Automatik, Bay Plastics Machinery, Conair, Cumberland, Erema, Maag, Reduction Engineering, Rieter and Scheer brands. They are interchangeable with solid-style rotors without any modification to the pelletizer and range in size from 4” to 40” in cutting width. The exposed rotor body and wedges can be protected with tungsten carbide for superior wear protection over time.
Using premium grades of carbide, stellite, stainless steel or tool steel for durability and longer life, these rotor and knife assemblies deliver consistent shape and pellet quality. Knives are sharpened as an assembly to precise and exacting tolerances for specific applications using the latest CNC technology.
PDK Wedge Lock Pelletizer Rotors, with their unique rotor knife material, require less frequent sharpening resulting in extended run times and overall reduced maintenance costs. When required, these wedge lock rotors allow replacement of only damaged or worn individual rotor knives. Also, the rotor body and wedge can be reconditioned after years of use to extend the life of the assembly. These factory-based services are less costly than full replacement and requalify the assembly at the same time.
