Wedge Clamping Element offers secure hold in minimal space.

Press Release Summary:

Measuring 22 mm high, KSE 50-PDB ensures secure hold with max gripping force of 30 kN and angle compensation of ±3°. Workpieces with angled clamping faces can be securely held due to oscillating design of chuck jaws, and active pull-down effect ensures workpiece is also pulled against support. Product is suited for multiple clamping applications because 2 workpieces can be clamped using one wedge clamping element.

Original Press Release:

KONTEC KSE 50-PDB Provides a Secure Hold with Minimal Space Requirements

The KSE 50 wedge clamping element from SCHUNK ensures an absolutely secure hold with high gripping forces. Workpieces with angled clamping faces can be securely held due to oscillating design of the chuck jaws. The active pull-down effect ensures that the workpiece is also pulled against the support. The KSE 50-PDB dramatically reduces vibration during the machining process.

The wedge clamping elements are ideally suitable for multiple clamping because two workpieces can be clamped using a single wedge clamping element. The KSE 50-PDB is 22 mm high and generates a maximum clamping force is 30 kN and the angle compensation is +/- 3°.

Using a hexagon socket wrench, the chuck jaws are moved outwards via a hardened clamping wedge, making the handling extremely user-friendly with. The wedge clamping element can also be used in combination with a UNILOCK clamping pallet from SCHUNK.
