WD® Delivers Thousands of TV Episodes and Movies to Brazilian Consumers with Its WD TV Live Plus Media Player and Netflix®

Access to a Library of On-Demand Entertainment Has Never Been Easier for Consumers with Affordable Media Player and the Unique Subscription Service

SAO PAULO and IRVINE, Calif. - Western Digital® (NYSE: WDC), the world's leader in external storage solutions and maker of the popular WD TV® media player family, today announced that the Netflix subscription service is now available through its WD TV Live Plus(TM) media players in Brazil.

WD TV Live Plus customers who are Netflix members can instantly watch thousands of TV episodes and movies on the biggest screen in their home for a low monthly price of R$14.99, starting with a one month free trial. Netflix availability, in combination with access to other services like YouTube®, Facebook®, Picasa®, TuneIn Radio®, as well as personal photos, movies, and music, makes WD TV Live Plus the easiest way for consumers to bring the best of the Internet and their personal content to the television.

With over 25 million members in the U.S. and Canada, Netflix is the world's leading Internet movie subscription service. In Brazil, Netflix offers thousands of hours of Hollywood, international and local movies and TV series to watch instantly, including a wide range of kid's shows.

The WD TV Live Plus media player also lets Brazilian consumers stream photos, music and videos from any Mac or PC computer or network storage device such as the My Book® Live(TM) drive, over home networks and onto the television. Any USB drive, like the WD My Passport® and My Book product families can be directly plugged into the media player's USB port for instant enjoyment of personal content. WD TV Live Plus even supports the connection of a USB camcorder or digital camera. The powerful media processing in the WD TV Live Plus media player enables playback in Full-HD 1080p resolution and supports most types of video and audio formats.

"WD is an important partner for Netflix in Brazil," said Paul Perryman, Netflix director of business development. "The versatile WD TV Live Plus media player is one of the most affordable ways for Brazilian consumers to enjoy Netflix on their televisions."

"As the first media player available in Brazil to offer Netflix, our WD TV Live Plus player offers Netflix subscribers an easy way to experience the thousands of movie titles and TV shows on their big screens, rather than only their computer. The WD TV Live Plus media player helps users transform their TV into an all-purpose screen where they can experience movies, TV shows, YouTube content and social activities such as Facebook, as well as personal content, including video, photos and music previously trapped on their computers," said Dale Pistilli, vice president of marketing for WD's branded products group.
