Waterfall Security Solutions and OPSWAT Announce Joint Solution for Protecting Critical Infrastructures

NEW YORK - Waterfall Security Solutions and OPSWAT today announce a joint solution for protecting unidirectionally-protected nuclear generation networks and other critical industrial infrastructures.
Waterfall's hardware-enforced Unidirectional Security Gateways safely and securely integrate industrial networks with corporate networks. OPSWAT's Metascan server technology enables scanning of files with up to 30 antivirus engines simultaneously. Together, Waterfall's Unidirectional Gateways are able to scan data using OPSWAT's Metascan engine before the data is transferred through the gateway system. The joint solution can be used to ensure that data entering critical networks or corporate networks is free of malware.
In addition, the Unidirectional Security Gateways can now be used to securely transfer new antivirus signatures into network-isolated OPSWAT Metascan servers. Metascan is often used at nuclear generators and other critical infrastructure sites, where network connection is not available for automatic antivirus engine updating. These facilities use Metascan to scan files entering or leaving critical networks, particularly on USB sticks and other removable media.
