Instantaneous Hot Water Heaters

Armstrong International, Inc. now offers a complete line of Instantaneous Hot Water Heaters. The Flo-Rite-Temp water heater utilizes steam as the heating medium. It is designed for applications such as; change-houses, washdown stations, process water, hospitals, etc. Flo-Rite-Temp utilizes the feed-forward principle of control thus eliminating the need for temperature sensing devices normally associated with a storage tank type system. The blending valve mounts directly on the heat exchanger thus eliminating the need for connecting piping. The tube bundle is a floating head design which relieves tube stress. It also allows the tubes to be removed easily for mechanical cleaning. This is not possible with conventional U-bend or helically wound tube bundles. Tube construction is of 16 gauge Admiralty Brass and the shell is Carbon Steel.

The heater's blending valve is set by making two easy adjustments on initial start-up to maintain plus/minus 50F over the entire flow range of the unit.

Using a steam supply ranging from 2-15 psig, the Flo-Rite-Temp is capable of heating 1 to 65 gpm of water from 400F to 1400F. 1000F temperature rise with a single unit. Units may be piped in parallel for larger capacity requirements.
