New High Capacity Water Chillers, Offer Smaller Footprint and Many Design Features

Grasonville, Maryland...a new line of high capacity, air cooled water chillers for concrete batch water and aggregate cooling, including models with capacities ranging from 200-6000yds/day -tbat have a very small footprint and light weight packaging with EERs (Energy Efficiency Ratios) to 10.2/full and 13.5/partial to reduce operating costs and optimize energy consumption-is now being introduced to the ready mix concrete industry by the manufacturer, Pearson Heating Systems, Inc.

PEARSON "PH SERIES" AIR COOLED WATER CHILLERS incorporate a unique plate & frame heat exchanger design with more exposed interior surface area, that improves both heat transfer efficiency and refrigerant wetting action. This to significantly increase capacity per ton output. There is also a hermetic scroll compressor for high operation reliability-and totally enclosed direct drive fan motors.

Installation and rigging are simplified, as units are shipped job ready, factory assembled including vibration isolation, with a full R-22 operating charge. A 30% lower profile (versus previous models) adds placement flexibility and a horizontally positioned condenser ends the need for low ambient wind baffles or hail guards.

Other features include suction cutoff unloading for high part load efficiency; low noise and vibration; horizontal condenser coil to prevent fin damage during shipment and installation; condenser with aluminum fins, mechanically bonded to seamless copper tubing; hinged access panels with a serviceable semi-hermetic compressor to facilitate maintenance; a suction and discharge pressure gauge for each refrigerant circuit; chilled water flow switch plus a compressor oil safety switch for each chiller.

Other design details further assure dependability-including no compressor rapid cycling, high/low pressure switches, thermostatically controlled cooler heating cable, control relays, calibrated magnetic trip circuit breakers and crankcase heater.

Portability options and accessories to meet environmental requirements are also available.
