New Water Based Semi-Permanent NANOPARTICLE PTFE Release Coating



The McLube Division of McGee industries, Inc. has developed a new water based semi-permanent release coating based on PTFE nanoparticles. MAC-968 is a water based colloidal dispersion that has proven to provide superior release performance and durability. The product allows for improved flow properties, superior part appearance, excellent thermal stability and lubricity. It is supplied in a ready to use formulation to assure economy of usage. The product has proven to be an extremely effective release coating for all types of rubber stock such as EPDM, FKM, silicone, Neoprene, natural rubber, ECO and acylic rubber compounds. It will provide a thin, colorless bonded film coating that will adhere tenaciously to the mold surface allowing for a maximum of parts to be molded per application. The product will not contaminate the rubber stock allowing for superior part appearance. The product is environmentally friendly containing no heavy metals, powders, silicone oils and is VOC free. Samples coupled with plant testing are available.
