Sensicore Introduces First Responder Kit to Aid in Troubleshooting and Emergency Situations

Water Testing Solution Quickly Identifies and Pinpoints Cyanide and Other Undesirable Substances in Drinking Water Systems

ANN ARBOR, Michigan, Sept. 11 // -- Sensicore, a developer of smart sensor systems for measuring and monitoring water quality, today introduced First Responder Plus, a solution that can quickly analyze water samples for out of tolerance conditions and contaminants and pinpoint the source of the problem on a web-based graphical interface. With the ability to measure levels of cyanide, chlorine, conductivity and pH, the solution is designed as a troubleshooting tool for first responders, such as fire, police and health departments, and municipal water system operators.

First Responder Plus is a single solution that can be used for all water troubleshooting needs. The package incorporates Sensicore's WaterPOINT 870 sensor-based water profiling system and the Company's Internet based WaterNOW software for real-time monitoring, data visualization alarming and decision support that can be managed from any Internet connected computer.

"When there is suspicion of a contamination event or security breech of the public water supply, action must be taken immediately. There is no time to waste getting samples to the lab to determine if the results are out of the norm," said Malcolm Kahn, president and CEO of Sensicore. "With First Responder Plus, officials can quickly analyze samples in the field and wirelessly communicate results to the Sensicore WaterNOW web server where they are analyzed on the fly. Results are available instantly and can be reviewed in real-time from any Internet connected computer to pinpoint the source of the problem."

The Sensicore WaterPOINT 870 is comprised of disposable sensor technology in a portable, handheld device that can concurrently run tests for 18 different water parameters, such as chlorine, TDS and pH, producing results in about five minutes. Additional colorimetric tests -- like those for cyanide and nitrites -- can also be run on the System. The WaterPOINT 870 gives users a more complete picture of their water supply and its menu driven operation insures accurate results when run by less skilled operators such as first responders that may only occasionally run water analysis tests.

Introductory pricing for First Responder Plus is available for a limited time. For more information, please contact a Sensicore sales representative or visit www.sensicore.com .
