Wastewater Treatment System uses electrocoagulaton.

Press Release Summary:

ElectroClear (EC) system uses electricity-based technology for on-site treatment of complex waste streams. Treatment process removes contaminants such as emulsified oils, TPH (Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons or petroleum products), suspended solids, and heavy metals. Automated EC system has no filters to clean and is capable of handling waste stream flows up to 50 gpm and higher. Treated wastewater can typically be recycled or discharged to sanitary sewers.

Landa Adds Electrocoagulation to Its Wastewater Treatment Product Line

Landa, North America's largest manufacturer of industrial pressure washers and associated water treatment systems, has introduced a new wastewater treatment system for handling extra-complex waste streams.

The ElectroClear (EC) system uses electrocoagulaton, an electricity-based technology for treating complex waste streams economically and on-site. The EC treatment process has proven successful in removing a variety of contaminants that are impossible or too expensive to be removed by filtration and chemical treatment systems. Among these contaminants are emulsified oils, TPH (Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons or petroleum products), suspended solids and heavy metals.

EC-treated wastewater typically is of a quality that it can be recycled or discharged to a sanitary sewer. Average treatment cost is only $.0025 per gallon or $2.50 per 1,000 gallons..

The ElectroClear systems are being used in a variety of applications, including heavy equipment washing, marinas, military wash operations, forest products processing, aircraft refurbishing, auto auctions, groundwater remediation, and surface finishing and polishing.

Packaged with on-board automation, the EC system is fully automated, which dramatically reduces the cost and time of maintenance often associated with on-site wastewater treatment systems. Also, there are no filters to clean.

The EC system is capable of handling waste stream flows of up to 50 gallons per minute and higher, if needed.

Landa, which has been manufacturing wash-water treatment systems since 1989, now offers systems in a broad range of technologies, from filtration and ozonation to evaporation and bioremediation. And that's in addition to Landa's extensive line of aqueous parts washers and hot- and cold-water pressure washers.
