Wastewater Pump provides built-in flexibility.

Press Release Summary:

Compact, electric, submersible Series K, with 15, 20 and 27 hp motors, pumps raw sewage, industrial wastewater, and other contaminated and abrasive liquids. Circulated clean water/anti-freeze media keeps pump running cool, even when dry. Trimmable impeller enables end-user to meet calculated requirements. Pump provides regulatory control over flow, energy costs, and wear-life by eliminating excess energy consumption and short pumping cycle operations.

Versatile Wastewater Pump Design Improves Performance, Field Servicing And Pricing Of Compact, Low Head Pumps

Lebanon, NJ: The all-new Pumpex K-Series wastewater pump permits municipalities and industrial wastewater processors to gain extended flow output from a smaller space-saving pump. The electric submersible wastewater pump series is designed to pump raw sewage, industrial wastewater, and other contaminated or abrasive liquids. The compact, pump family is designed for safety, performance, and economy. The rugged, electric motor and pump unit is built as a single unit to offer durability for handling intermittent or continuous operation in wet or dry sump installations, with impressive return on investment (ROI) in initial purchase price, energy costs, and maintenance costs. Pumpex begins with a "modular" K series power frame that uses a convenient, same size spare parts inventory. The snap-in modular cartridge mechanical seal assures moisture-free motor integrity. In addition, a built-in moisture sensor and optional alarm connector protect the pump motor from the possibility of damage caused when outside moisture is permitted to enter the motor housing. The internal, closed loop cooling system that characterizes the Pumpex brand of high performance pumps, circulates an always clean water/anti-freeze cooling media that keeps the pump running cool, even when dry. A choice of several different impellers permits the user to extend capacity range and control intermittent flows. Unlike most other brands of submersible wastewater pumps, the Pumpex K-Series pumps include a customizable impeller that is trimmable to all diameters within a curve to enable the end-user to meet calculated requirements. This built-in flexibility provides greater regulatory control over flow, energy costs, and wear-life by eliminating excess energy consumption and short pumping cycle operations with frequent starts that result in system taxing, high flow/no flow periods. An improved hydraulic design combines powerful 15, 20, and 27 hp motors with larger impellers to extend flow capacity. The Pumpex K-103 has the capacity to yield output flows of 1500 gal/min, The Pumpex K-153 has the capacity to yield output flows of 1700 gal/min, and the Pumpex K-89 has the capacity to achieve 280 feet TDH. Pumpex K Series pumps have passed a Factory Mutual (FM) explosion-proof rating.
