Original Press Release:

Waste Compactor Monitoring System Guarantees Cost Hauling Reduction, Adds Capabilities

The latest generation, the WIRELESS WASTE EDGE compactor monitor has been announced by One Plus Corporation.  As with previous models, the WASTE EDGE System accurately monitors the fullness of an industrial/commercial waste compactor.   When the compactor container becomes full, the Monitor automatically sends a pick-up request to the hauler and/or other designated recipients.  Typical reduction in hauls is 30 to 50% vs. manual call-ins or scheduled pickups.  This new model has additional capabilities to send remote alerts if the compactor is not performing up to its manufacturer’s specifications.

WASTE EDGE can now be fitted with hydraulic fluid leak detection and oil temperature monitoring without calibrations.  Additional sensors can be added to monitor other compactor functions.  In this way, a WASTE EDGE installation can be configured to provide a suite of monitoring capabilities.

WASTE EDGE MONITORS can be easily installed on any compactor without changing haulers or compactors.  Wireless operation links the Monitor to North America’s largest wireless infrastructure.  No phone line is required.  While operation is fully automated, individual Monitors can be contacted via the Internet at any time to view fullness and other operating parameters. This enhanced capability utilizes One Plus’s exclusive cloud-based WasteView™ System.

Because of the company's experience with its fullness monitoring systems, One Plus guarantees that customers will see at least a 30% reduction in waste hauling cost in the first year of operation.

One Plus is the largest manufacturer of waste compactor management systems, with an installed base of over 25,000.  Patented WASTE EDGE MONITORS are designed and built exclusively for compactor monitoring.
