Choose between 5 different washdown styles that are specially designed for tough, demanding washdown applications. These 5 styles include Premium WashGuard All-Stainless, WashGuard SST All-Stainless, WashGuard II Stainless Frame, WashGuard White Epoxy and Extreme WashGuard motors.
Premium WashGuard All-Stainless motors feature an all stainless steel exterior with O-ring sealed to frame. These motors are IEEE 841 rated for severe-duty that meets the demanding requirements of pharmaceutical and chemical-processing applications.
WashGuard SST All-Stainless motors are made using series 300 all-stainless steel exterior with moisture resistant sealant between frame and endbells. SST stainless motors are built to withstand the demanding washdown environments found in food processing, chemical processing and beverage industries.
WashGuard II Stainless Frame motors offer superior, extended life in severe environments. Paint-free exterior with stainless frame is BISSC certified for the baking industry.
WashGuard White Epoxy motors offer enhanced performance in wet, humid areas. These motors feature a USDA-approved RUST-OLEUM® white epoxy finish for superior protection and resistance to caustic cleaning solutions.
The revolutionary designed Extreme WashGuard motors are built to last! These extreme washdown motors feature total winding encapsulation using an epoxy resin. Extreme motors are UL recognized, CSA verified and certified for safety. Made using 300-series all-stainless exterior. BISSC certified for the baking industry.
All washdown motors feature a "No-Poke" IRIS(TM), Inverter-Rated Insulation System, which meets NEMA MG 1 Part 30 & 31 for inverter-fed motors. This insulation system is protected against VFD (variable frequency drive) induced voltage spikes. WashGuard frames also include a stainless steel fan guard for corrosion resistant protection and durability.
The moisture resistant shaft system on washdown motors includes a type 303 stainless steel shaft and lubricated, spring-loaded contact seals in each endshield. A patented V-ring Forsheda seal on shaft end is used to deflect water. Double-sealed, oversized bearings are lubricated with Exxon POLYREX® EM high temperature, moisture resistant lubricant. Interior coatings protect all interior components from moisture, acids, oil and corrosion to meet EPACT mandates.
