Crane Interface and Control Module Introduced for eXact(TM) Warehouse Management System

Newark, Delaware July 24, 2003 - Applied Control Engineering, Inc. (ACE) and XCS Corporation are introducing a new Crane Interface and Control Module (CICM) for the eXact(TM) Warehouse Management System (WMS). CICM controls automated warehouse cranes, Automatic Storage and Retrieval Systems (AS/RS), and Automatic Guided Vehicles (AGV), fully automating the equipment's operation within the warehouse while tightly integrating with other eXact WMS modules. The software module can be added to existing eXact applications or delivered with new systems and can be configured in one of three levels of functionality to meet a broad spectrum of user requirements. eXact CICM can monitor and control a wide array of cranes, AS/RS, and AGV equipment and systems.

The eXact Warehouse Management System is a complete and exact solution to improve logistics operations, customer service, and inventory accuracy while lowering costs in warehousing operations. When configured with the Validation Module and combined with validation services from ACE, eXact WMS offers a complete package of technical and procedural controls to be installed as a 21 CFR Part 11 compliant application for pharmaceutical applications.
