New Creform Warehouse Picking Cart Is Customized with Simple Tools

Multiple angled shelves provide for easy order picking or kitting while open design offers good field of vision during transport. Creform® Corporation, (Greer, SC), has introduced a new design in picking carts that provides a combination of good ergonomics, safe handling within manufacturing or warehouse facilities and sustainability through ease of modification. Carts feature three angled shelves on each side that can hold either totes or boxes and cant toward the outside providing good load/unload access. Vertical compartments below the shelves provide convenient storage for tote lids to protect contents during transport. The open design lets the associate see through the structure for good visibility when moving carts. The shelves can hold open boxes or totes for order picking and/or kitting. Because the carts are built using the Creform System of plastic coated steel pipes and metal joints they are easy to assemble and then modify as needs change. For example, with minimal effort, the shelves can be repositioned using a few simple tools to accommodate different sized boxes. The cart shown has a 36" X 64" footprint, a 750 lb capacity and (6) 4" diameter rubber wheeled stem casters. Two center casters are fixed for good directional control and the four corner casters feature brakes for secure positioning. The carts can be built with different colors of pipe for color coding or ESD pipe and joints for handling static sensitive products. Creform offers many accessories to further customize the carts with hooks, label holders, holsters for picking and/or scanning guns, writing surfaces and tow bars. Creform structural components are used to create an array of material handling devices, including push and trailer carts, flow racks, roller conveyors, hinged shelf carts, tilting racks, workstations, and rolling tool cribs. The Creform System is a proven component in continuous improvement and Lean Manufacturing programs, and Creform Corporation partners with customers in developing and implementing these programs.
