Wall-Mounted Luminaire minimizes unwanted and wasteful light.

Press Release Summary:

Using 35 W, Sundowner(TM) LED features adaptive optics that emit sharply directional, forward and sideways illumination from building entryways and facades. Smooth-edged, awning-shaped architectural housing mounts flush to exterior building, wall, or other structural surface. Housing is die-cast aluminum with chip- and fade-resistant polyester powder-coat finish. Available in 120, 277, and 347 V, luminaire is Canadian and US listed to UL 1598 wet-location standards.

Light Up the Night . . . with Only 35 Watts: Introducing The New Guth 70,000 Hour Sundowner(TM) Led High-Performance Wall-Mounted Luminaire

New Product Introduction: Sundowner(TM) LED - High-performance, cut-off, dark skies wall pack for commercial, institutional, light industrial mounted area lighting.

Design: Guth Lighting In-House Product Design and Engineering Team.

Manufacturer: Guth Lighting, a Philips group brand. Founded 1902 by lighting industry pioneer Edwin Guth.

Product Applications: Sundowner(TM) LED patent pending adaptive optics emits sharply directional, forward and sideways illumination from building entryways and facades. It's 4 to 1 spacing reduces the fixtures required by up to 38%. Models suit a broad range of corporate, institutional, light industrial and entertainment structures of all kinds.

Use of Sundowner(TM) LED can save the need for up to 38% of similar HID wallpacks. Energy saving approaches 90% and the 70,000 hour lamp life eliminates maintenance for almost 18 years.

Product Description: Sundowner(TM) LED is characterized by a crisp, smooth edged, awning-shaped architectural housing design that mounts flush to exterior building, wall and other structural surfaces.

Rounded edges and a sloped design to the housing present a pleasing contemporary aesthetic that integrates well with mounting surfaces and building designs. The downward sloping housing is self cleaning and prevent ambient contaminant deposits.

A state-of-the-art, highly energy-efficient LED array uses only 35 watts per unit and places surprising horizontal and vertical footcandles on the ground from the mounting point. Up to 4 to 1 spacing is standard, compared with higher wattage less optically efficient cut-off luminaires.

LED's are extensively heat sunk and rated for a 70,000-hour system life. Dark sky photometrics are standard. Adaptive optics distributes the light uniformly in an optimized asymmetric pattern that minimizes unwanted and wasteful light

Construction & Finishes: Sundowner(TM) LED housings are constructed of durable, heavy-gauge die-cast aluminum and a chip- and fade-resistant polyester powder-coat finish.

Prior to application of a bronze or custom finish, all Sundowner(TM) LED components endure a five-step pretreatment process, including an iron phosphate priming state. This ensures superior coating adhesion and maximum corrosion resistance throughout the life of the fixture. Tamper-proof housing screws can be specified for added security.

The tempered glass lens is sealed and gasketed to the housing to prevent moisture or debris infiltration, maximizing long term efficiency.

The Sundowner(TM) LED is Canadian and US listed to UL 1598 wet-location standards and available in 120, 277 and 347 volts. It meets or exceeds all ASTM requirements, including 1,000-hour salt-spray endurance testing, for extremely long, low maintenance service life.
