Clearfield Ensures Scalability with Expansion of FieldSmart FDP Wall Mount Panel Series
MINNEAPOLIS (July 28, 2009) - Building upon a need for scalability and flexibility in the access network, Clearfield Inc. (NASDAQ: CLFD) is introducing the expansion of the FieldSmart Fiber Delivery Point (FDP) Wall Mount Panel product line. The "PON in a BOX" series now includes 36 and 96-port options, all with support for PON-based applications. Ring cut capable, this series of Wall Mount Panels is perfect for the deployment of PON-based FTTH networks in Multi-dwelling units (MDU), allowing for up to a total of 144 ports from one single deployment point.
Triangle Communications needed a versatile, easy to work with and cost effective solution to terminate outside plant fiber optic cable at a customer premise location in their new FTTx installations. The solution was Clearfield's Wall Mount Panel line. As an "Any Application, Anywhere Multiplier," the Clearview Cassette reduces training and installation time for the technician and allows for a single fiber management component to be stocked for all environments - thereby reducing inventory stocking levels during installation or maintenance.
The Clearview Cassette ensures that all of the basic principles of fiber management are satisfied without exposure to environmental hazards or human interaction. Integrated cassette components fully nest into the cassette's main housing to support any application or fiber type desired. Within the cassette, all fibers from the sub-assembly are slack stored, bend radius protected, and secured against accidental physical damage from handling. Designed to handle the toughest operating environments, the Clearview Cassette provides flexibility and reliable performance in the access network, the central office and in the field.
