New Hyster Walkie Pallet Trucks Turn Inside Trailers for Enhanced Maneuverability and Increased Value
Greenville, N.C. - (August 8, 2002) - Two new additions to Hyster Company's line of Walkie Pallet Trucks - the 4500-pound W45Z and the 4000-pound W40Z - offer outstanding maneuverability in confined warehousing and distribution facilities. A 24-volt electrical system helps material handlers more efficiently turn stock, load trailers and transport receivables short distances.
The truck features a bottom-mounted handle that enables ergonomic actuation when moving products in tight spots, such as turning a load inside a trailer. The 'turtle or creep' speed button on the back of the handle allows an operator to actuate the truck using either thumb with the handle in its fully raised position. Operator productivity is further enhanced by ergonomically angled handgrips and a contoured truck body that provides readily available protection for fingers and knuckles.
The W40Z features 110V AC-optional charging for smaller retail applications. When charging, the truck's electrical system is disabled to prevent accidental operation. Further, the built-in
hinged convenience tray provides adequate ventilation to protect the work environment from the battery gasses naturally produced during charging. This tray also improves serviceability of the
battery.
