WACKER Appoints New Distributor in Russia for Polymer Products for the Construction Industry
Munich - As part of a constant sales channel improvement, WACKER, the Munich-based chemical company, is restructuring its distribution network in Russia. Effective February 2012, the chemical distributor Eurohim will handle WACKER's dispersions and dispersible powders for the construction industry, marketed under the VINNAPAS® brand.
In the course of reorganizing its Russian sales activities, WACKER is entrusting Eurohim with the distribution of its polymer dispersions and dispersible powders of the VINNAPAS® brand used for construction applications effective February 2012. Eurohim is one of the biggest chemical distributors in Russia with many years of experience in the market and replaces the previous distributor Welkoms. The measure is to strengthen and further expand WACKER's position within the Russian markets.
VINNAPAS® Dispersions and Dispersible Powders
WACKER is a world-leading manufacturer of dispersions and dispersible powders based on vinyl acetate and ethylene, marketed worldwide as VINNAPAS®. These thermoplastic polymers are used as binders in the construction industry, for instance in tile adhesives, grouts, mineral plasters, sealing slurries, gypsum, repair mortars, external thermal insulation composite systems (ETICS), self-leveling compounds or powder paints. In the end product, they improve important properties such as adhesion, cohesion, flexibility, water resistance and processing properties. WACKER's polymers division has production sites in Germany, China, Korea and the USA, as well as a global sales network and technical centers in all key regions.
