These measuring devices belong to the PROline® range of instruments and are suitable for the most varied steam, gas, and liquid applications-as well as in hazardous areas. Differentiating itself from other, less advanced vortex flowmeters in the market, the Prowirl 72/73 provides a new level of high quality, reliable and safe measurement utilizing its patented Differential Switched Capacitor (DSC(TM)) sensor technology.
This innovative DSC(TM) technology allows for a vortex flowmeter unmatched in measurement reliability and flexibility. The Prowirl 72/73 is immune to vibrations up to 1 g, extreme temperature shocks, clogging, water hammer, and high pressures. Interference from plant vibrations that interrupt low flow
rate measurements is a thing of the past-the DSC(TM) technology overcomes this classic problem. Depending on the application, you may choose either a version with mounted or remote evaluation electronics.
The Prowirl 73 introduces direct mass measurement without the need of an additional thermometer and flow computer. For measurement of saturated steam, the accurate data is implemented within the instrument. Direct mass flow measurement is possible for other fluids (density information can be
entered directly). Superheated steam, compressed air, water, and gas measurement are all supported. All incorporated in a two-wire instrument without additional power supply or wiring.
