Vortex Flow Transmitters offer flow ranges from 0.3-22 gpm.

Press Release Summary:

Utilizing Kármán Vortex Trail principle of operation, DN-420 Series is suited for liquid media flow monitoring and control in ¼-¾ in. piping systems. Loop-powered units use piezoelectric sensors embedded in ETFE vane located downstream of bluff to detect generated vortices. Frequency measured represents flow velocity, and flow factor is provided to convert frequency to volume flow rate. Each model delivers frequency/pulse output and linear 4-20 mA output proportional to flow.

New Clark Vortex Flow Transmitters Economical Choice for ¼" to ¾" Systems

New DN-420 Series Vortex Flow Transmitters - Loop Powered, 2-Wire, 4-20 mA & Frequency Output, ¼" to ¾" Pipe Sizes, Flow Ranges 0.3 to 22 GPM.

Hudson, MA - The DN-420 Series Vortex Flow Transmitters are an excellent and economical choice for liquid media flow monitoring and control in ¼" to ¾" piping systems. These transmitters utilize the Kármán Vortex Trail principle of operation. In DN420 Transmitters, piezoelectric sensors embedded in an ETFE vane located downstream of the bluff detect generated vortices. The frequency measured represents the flow velocity. A flow factor is provided to convert frequency to volume flow rate for each model size. Each model is provided with a frequency/pulse output and a linear 4-20 mA output proportional to flow. Output is updated every 2 seconds. Available options include a 1000 Ohm RTD temperature sensor.

DN420 Series Vortex Flow Transmitters are ideal for water and water glycol based heat exchange systems with flow ranges from 0.3 to 22 GPM. Wetted materials for flow transmitters include ETFE and EPDM, ASTM-PPA, Polyphthalamide, and ISO-PA6T/6I, Grivory 40% GF. DN-420 Series Vortex Flow Transmitters have an accuracy up to 50% fs: ≤ 1% fs from 50% fs: ≤ 2% of measured value.
