Voltage Detector indicates presence of ac and dc voltage.

Press Release Summary:

Universal Power Alert Model UPA-100 provides verification of zero energy, detection of single- or 3-phase ac voltage from 40-750 Vac, detection of dc or stored energy from 30-1000 Vdc, and redundant circuitry. Flashing LEDs on epoxy-encapsulated NEMA 4 enclosure advise observer if voltage is present without aid of additional equipment. Compliance to OSHA requirements regarding Verification of Isolation can effectively be accomplished.

Universal Power Alert: UPA-100

Lancaster, PA .ATC's Diversified Electronics Division introduces their new Universal Power Alert (UPA-100). With the UPA-100, detection and indication of the presence of AC and DC (stored energy) voltage is made possible.

Every year many fatalities occur due to the disregard of safety practices or in assuming power was OFF, while replacing or servicing electrical equipment. Eliminate the guesswork out of determining the presence of power in panels. Compliance to OSHA requirements regarding "Verification of Isolation" (ref: OSHA 1910.147 (d)(6) can effectively be accomplished using the UPA-100.

Features include: verification of zero energy; detection of single or 3-phase AC voltage (40 to 750VAC); detection of DC or Stored Energy (30 to 1000VDC); redundant circuitry. The UPA-100 is UL pending.

The epoxy encapsulated NEMA 4 enclosure features flashing LEDs to advise the observer if voltage is present without the aid of additional equipment. No company can afford to be without this potentially life saving new product.
